Every blade of grass has an angel that bends over it and whispers, “Grow! Grow!” – The Talmud
Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m sitting here at my computer and I’m totally overcome with love for the women I serve. You trust me with your hearts, you tell me your secrets, you share your hopes and dreams with me and I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart.
This Valentine’s Day and every day, it is my wish for you to have the life you want and the love you dream of. More than anything, I want you to know that you can achieve your dreams. No matter where you’ve been, what you’ve been through or what disappointments you’ve endured, you can have a bright future.
My wish for you is that you will embrace possibility, that you will reinvent yourself and your life, starting now. Your past does not matter unless you remain there. You can choose to reach for more today. Right now, this very minute, you can decide to have a great life, great love, just because you want it. It does not serve the world for you to play small, to hide, or to live in fear and disappointment. It’s time to stop watering down your dreams.
The first step in having the life you want is to decide exactly what it is that you want.
Be specific. Do you really just want to meet someone, or do you want to meet the love of your life? Does your online dating profile say you’d like to “find someone and see how it goes”? Is that really all you’re looking for?
This Valentine’s Day, I’d like to invite you to uncover your dreams. Dust them off and give them some air. Open your heart and mind to consider the possibility of the life you once dreamed of. What did you want before? Before the breakup, the divorce, the disappointments that the passing years have piled up in your life. Do you remember? I want to sprinkle some fairy dust on your dreams today and whisper to them “Live! Breathe! Grow!”
If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know I’m a dreamer, but I wasn’t always. There was a time in my life when I was just trying to survive my life as a single mom with four young children. I couldn’t have told you what my dreams were to save my life. It took some time and work to open my heart to love and to possibilities. Opening one’s heart is not for sissies. Neither is dreaming. I did it though, and so can you. I know you can. Will you join me in reaching for your dreams today?
