I am, shall we say, past a certain age, so I’m always amused when something is called new just because it has a new name.
“Roaching” is one of those things.
It’s a new term for an old practice that has caused much angst over the years.
It’s essentially failing to discuss monogamy or lack thereof, with the people one is seeing, leaving things to chance, and then being surprised when it turns out that he or she is seeing other people.
Not very romantic, but hey, it is called “roaching”.
Dating can seem overwhelming with all these scary new things, but never fear.
Few of them are really all that new, and with some good dating practices, most of the difficulties can be minimized or avoided altogether.
Roaching, and many other complications, can be nixed by having an honest conversation early on with everyone you date.
Find out what they’re looking for and share your intentions with them.
Not romantic?
Well, neither is roaching, or failing to take responsibility for the results you want.
